What’s it like to grow up in this modern world? It’s an ironic mixing of both connection and isolation. We know more about the world than ever before and have avenues for connecting like never before, but there are forces at work forming us to withdraw from our world into self-absorbed lives. 

The story of Passport to the Nations began long before Passport existed. In fact, it began even before I was born.

Passport was born in the local church out of a deep desire to find missions material that is contemporary, comprehensive, and Christ-centered. We longed for resources that would help kids see God’s heart for the whole world — content that would take them continent by continent, exploring every inhabited region over a multi-year journey. What we found instead were fragmented resources: outdated visuals, shallow geography lessons, and materials that felt like they were written for a past generation.

Geography isn’t just about maps, mountains, and rivers — it’s part of God’s intentional design for the world.

Praying is part of our mission to ground kids in the Gospel and equip them to go to the nations in love. Prayer opens their eyes to the breadth of God’s world, shaping their hearts to care deeply for people they may never meet. It teaches them that the Great Commission is not just for “someday missionaries,” but a call for every believer—young or old—to participate in God’s work among the nations right now.

When it comes to shaping the hearts and minds of the next generation, few things are more powerful than helping children see the world through God’s eyes. Passport to the Nations was created with that goal in mind—to guide children on a journey that opens their eyes to different cultures, fosters compassion, and cultivates a love for the nations.
