Around-the-World Hospitality Night
One of the most fun scavenger hunt activities is hosting an Around-the-World Night.
Here's a simple formula:
Choose a country.
Prepare a traditional meal or dessert.
Learn a few facts about the country.
Find it on a map.
Read a book connected to the culture.
Pray for the people who live there.
Invite friends or neighbors to join you.
Children often remember experiences like these long after summer ends.
Family Reflection Questions
At the end of the summer, ask:
What country would you most like to learn more about?
What activity was your favorite?
What surprised you about another culture?
How did God help us notice people around us?
How can we continue living on mission during the school year?
The Real Goal
The goal isn't completing all 25 boxes.
The goal is helping children discover that God's love extends to every nation, every neighborhood, and every person.
As families pray, serve, learn, welcome, and explore together, children begin to understand that missions is not simply something missionaries do somewhere else.
It is the everyday privilege of joining God in loving people wherever He has placed us.
May your summer be filled with adventure, meaningful conversations, growing compassion, and a deeper love for the world God made.
